What to do if you see injured waterfowl.

With fastly increasing ill health, we can now only cover the area of the Norfolk Broads. If you need help with injured waterfowl, please type SWAN RESCUE into your computer search engine, (we use GOOGLE), you will be given many Swan Rescue organisations within your area. If you see dead waterfowl please call DEFRA HOTLINE on 0845-335577 (8.30am - 8pm) with the BIRD FLU problem please DO NOT TOUCH THE BIRD. Be careful when feeding waterfowl, avoid actual contact. Always carry 'antiseptic wipes' for your hands & use when accidental contact with birds occur.

WELCOME SWAN PEOPLE

This website is to celebrate our thirtieth year with the Swans. We are the founders of the Worlds First SWAN RESCUE SERVICE and HOSPITAL.

The site is dedicated to the late
MRS. ELLEN MARY BALDWIN.

Firstly, our love and thanks to a few extraordinary people.
RINA MILSOM
EDDIE BUSH
Who, through supreme dedication, gave their all to the Rescue and Rehabilitation of Swans from all over the British Isles.

Our thanks to Robert Baker for his Research work, to Mike French, of the then ‘Terrestrial Ecology’, to the best SWAN Vet in the world, Mr. G. Barnes of East Dereham. Dr. Ian Keymer, MAFF, now DEFRA, to Joyce & Bert Green of Essex, to Ron & Rosie Collins, special thanks to PAUL IKEN, who sent his pocket money to the Swans for years. ‘BIG PAUL’ named after Paul Iken is the Swan on our opening page. THANKS PAUL.

This is a site of SHADOWS AND LIGHT.

Please be warned, some of the photographs could be disturbing, but the Swans, nor us will compromise with the truth.
